Current help is needed 3 times a week for approx 45 minutes on Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
Tasks include:
Watering flower pots along Boulevard, by Cafeteria, near front office, in succulent garden & wildflower area, and the 4th/5th grade pod. This will also include wiping down picnic tables, wetting & turning the compost bin, and ensuring the garden is clear of trash & weeds.
How the Cochise Garden got Started
In the Spring of 2022, APT earmarked $80,000 towards the Cochise Garden. Our garden has grown under the leadership of Jenny Derr and Kim Redhage, our Cochise Garden Coordinators. Thank you for your leadership!
Blue Watermelon Project
During the 2022-23 and 2023-34 school years the APT applied for and was awarded the Blue Watermelon Project grant to provide students with Chef in the Garden lessons and instruction. The Blue Watermelon Project is a nonprofit that has chefs in 30+ schools throughout the Phoenix metro area.
